A Warm Welcome
After you book, I will reach out to provide directions to the cottage, along with information about setting up your unique passcode to access the home using the electronic keypad.
Simple signage that respects the residential nature of the neighborhood will guide you to the property and to your designated parking space.
Outdoor lighting and a structured path clearly lead you to the Understory Suite. Please note that guests must be able to navigate multiple steps in order to access this rental and to move about safely once inside.
You will be welcomed into a pristine space. I thoroughly clean and disinfect between each guest, and HEPA air purifiers are used throughout the house. To keep the space comfortable for all guests, no pets are allowed; please let me know ahead of time if you have a certified service animal that will be accompanying you.
Everything about the suite is designed to ease you into a state of relaxation as soon as you arrive. There will be a household manual to help you get further acquainted with the space, and you are welcome to reach out at any time if you don't find your questions addressed there.

*While I have future plans to create a safe, well-maintained, and properly demarcated trail down to the river, there is currently no river access from the property.
Cottage Rules
Parking: Please park in your designated space and do not block the garage. Do not attempt to drive up the "pedestrian only" path. The road and driveway cannot handle large vehicles such as RVs.
No Parties or Events: Disruptive gatherings are prohibited.
No Children, Unapproved Visitors, or Unregistered Overnight Guests: This is a private retreat for 1-2 adults only; the property is not suitable for children. No additional guests or visitors are allowed on the premises without prior approval. Please reach out before your arrival if you hope to make any other arrangements so that I can consider accommodating your request.
Quiet Hours: Out of respect for the upstairs renter and neighbors, keep noise to a minimum between 10 PM and 8 AM.
No Smoking or Vaping: There is absolutely no smoking of any kind (tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes) inside or on grounds. No illegal drugs are allowed.
No Candles: Many battery-operated candles are provided and may be used throughout the space as you wish. Please only burn the provided citronella candle outdoors.
Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed. Please let me know ahead of time if you require an exception for your service animal.
Check-in and Check-out Times: Adhere to the 3 PM check-in time and 11 AM check-out times to allow proper cleaning.
Indoor Shoe Policy: Please remove shoes inside house.
Basic Clean-up: There is a one-time $50 cleaning fee per stay. I ask that you wash your dishes and ensure trash is placed in appropriate bins, but anything else you may wish to do is optional (helpful and appreciated, but optional). You are my guest and I want you to relax!
Extra cleaning fees may be incurred if any of the above rules are not followed.
